Tactile Knife Co. x Carryology

Back in March we did a super limited collaboration with our friends at Carryology, producing only 10 Bexar knives with custom accents and branding. After overwhelming interest and support, we got the gang back together, made some tweaks, and decided to do a larger run. Meet, the Kōyō.

Built on our popular Bexar slipjoint model, the Kōyō features black DLC (diamond-like coating) on both the Grade 5 titanium handles and MagnaCut blade steel to deliver extreme durability and corrosion resistance without adding significant weight or thickness. For a pop of color against the black, we added some orange Cerakote accents on our standard hardware, titanium lanyard bead, and laser-engraved pivot – showcasing the Carryology "C" logo.

The collaboration also comes with a custom leather sheath handmade by Utah-based Greg Stevens Design which features a debossed "Auxikko" pattern on the super dark black leather and orange waxed thread for contrast. And in case you're wondering... the name Kōyō comes from the Japanese word for "utility" as we wanted to make a pocket knife an infinitely useful companion designed to disppear in our pockets for many years to come.
